Clinical Supervision
By Dr Danielle Gerson
I completed my supervisor training at the University of Liverpool and have since enjoyed providing supervision to qualified clinical psychologists, trainee clinical psychologists, and other mental health professionals, including therapists and mental health nurses.
Having transitioned from the NHS to private practice myself, I also offer guidance and support on business matters for psychologists working to establish their own private practices. This includes support with essential policies and registrations, basic marketing strategies, working with insurers, and setting up efficient systems to ensure a smooth-running practice.
My approach to supervision is supportive and reflective, offering a space where you can bring your whole self. Whether you need to explore process issues in therapy, discuss safeguarding and risk management, reflect on theoretical frameworks, or receive practical guidance and signposting, I tailor supervision to your needs. I will work with you in line with your preferred style of supervision- whether you benefit from a structured, agenda-led approach, a reflective space for deeper exploration, or more directive, practical guidance – or a mixture of all of these.
My main therapeutic models include CBT, CFT, CAT-informed approaches, narrative therapy, and EMDR. I have experience working across the lifespan, with particular expertise in perinatal mental health, adult mental health, CAMHS, eating difficulties, and risk management (Learn more about me)
